Acting Workshop

Jura Soyfer Saal, Institut für Theater-, Film und Medienwissenschaft
Hofburg, Michaelerplatz
1010 Wien

21.-23. September 2016, täglich 16:00 - 19:00

The name of the technique developed by Iker Ortiz de Zarate comes from „neumo“ (lung) and „kinesia“ (body movement). Neumokinesia strives to enable a performer to work as a whole respiratory organism, incorporating an impulse beyond the rational. The aim is to enable the body to respond accurately to every stimulus received or created.

The workshop is situated within a theoretical framework of embodiment as knowledge in contemporary theatre practice and offers a chance to engage with current crosscultural impulses.

The workshop will be held in English; participants (max. 20) are encouraged to bring material they wish to work on. Applications and inquiries should be sent to:

sekretariat.tfm@univie.ac.at (subject: "Neumokinesia")

Workshop with:
