The Audio Collection of the tfm | Department of Theatre, Film and Media Studies at the University of Vienna collected radio plays, sound recordings of theatrical performances, interviews and other relevant sound material exclusively for internal research and teaching purposes, it is NOT open to the public!

The Audio Collection can only be accessed by students and staff members of the University of Vienna as part of research and teaching. In exceptional cases, members of other research and teaching institutions may also be granted temporary access. Audio CDs which are part of the holdings of the Theatre, Film and Media Studies Library can be ordered via usearch - just like books.
Notes on Holdings
The holdings of the audio library have not been expanded since 2011. They comprise about 12,000 titles on about 6,000 sound carriers:

Collection focuses were:
- recordings of theatrical performances of the 1950s-1980s
- historical radio plays
- experimental radio plays
- media art and audio art
- features, portraits, readings and interviews
- historical voice recordings (including parts of the [former] Teuchtler Collection)
- philosophical contributions
- in-house productions of students, recordings of events and lectures at the department
- audio recordings of the research project "Experimental Theater in Austria 1945-1983"
